Wedding Dress Wednesday
Wednesday 20th September saw the doors of No. 25 open wide for an early start, all for a very worthy cause. We had the great pleasure of hosting a live broadcast of TodayFM’s Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Wedding Dress Wednesday. The day itself is a chance for people to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society as part of their Dare to Care campaign and served as an opportunity to wear your wedding dress for the day.

We opened our doors from 6 am, treated everyone to a delicious breakfast and set the audience of brides up in our stunning Gandon Rooms, which had been transformed into a radio studio with a live audience for the morning. Throughout the course of the show, we were entertained with live music from talented Irish singer Declan O’Rourke, the comedy of Mario Rosenstock aka Joan Burton aka Ian’s Maid of Honour, and a live makeup tutorial as we watched Ian having his makeup done for his big day. We have to say, he was a great sport about everything, from wearing a dress and wig to donning a pair heels and taking part in the photoshoot after the show had finished.

All in all the broadcast was a resounding success, we were thrilled to have been part of the day and can safely say that it was the most amount of brides we’ve had in our venue in one sitting! The faces of people passing by when the group picture was taken outside were priceless, we don’t think they knew what was happening but they all seemed to love it.
